Thomas Joseph Fitzgerald
June 8, 1954 — March 19, 2017
Thomas Joseph Fitzgerald, 62, passed away while in the care of the Genesis Healthcare system on Sunday, March 19, 2017. Tom was born in Zanesville on June 8, 1954 to William and Joan (Bowers) Fitzgerald. Tom never knew a stranger, and he loved everyone. He brought more love and laughter into his home than anyone could imagine. He was a true blessing to his family.
Tom is survived by his sister, Karen Whitis, and his brothers Jerry Fitzgerald, Dave (Tami) Fitzgerald, and Bob Fitzgerald. He leaves, to cherish his memory, his beloved nieces and nephews including Adam (Shannon) Fitzgerald, Mark (Alex) Fitzgerald, Emily (Ryan) Moon, Sarah Fitzgerald, Andrew Fitzgerald, Robert (Kim) Ball, Karla (Randall) Baker, Kate Fitzgerald, Logan Fitzgerald, Devin Fitzgerald, Dustin Fitzgerald, and all of Tom’s Friends from Starlight Workshop. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, James Whitis.
Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours for Tom at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 6 to 8PM. Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday the 22nd at 11am. Burial will follow at a later date.
