Glenn E. Hammer, 75, went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2014 at 9:37 pm. He passed away at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House surrounded by his loving family.
Glenn was born July 27, 1939 in Zanesville the son of the late Ivan L. and Thelma (Klinger) Hammer. He retired in 2006 from Maysville School District where he worked as a bus Mechanic. He attended Grace Westleyan Church in Zanesville and he was an avid bowler and loved watching The Ohio State Buckeye’s Basketball team.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife Carol (Harlan) Hammer whom he married August 1, 1970; his sons Glenn A. (Karen) Hammer of Zanesville and Brian Touvell of Nashport; his daughters Cathy (Bob) Lee of Zanesville and Lorri (Sherman) Goss of Huntsville AL; his grandchildren Jodi (Brad) Pagath, Lisa (Mike) Carpenter, Stacy (Troy) Swartz, Adam (Erin) Stultz, Christian North, Amanda Touvell, Megan (Clayton) Bateson, Michael (Amanda) Stewart, Jessica Stewart and Robert Hammer; his 21 great grandchildren and two special friends Pastor Paul Wallace and Pat Campbell.
In addition to his parents, Glenn is preceded in death by his son William Touvell.
Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Monday, September 22, 2014 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday with Pastor Paul Wallace and Pastor Daniel Witherow officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
