Terry L. Nelson Sr.

Terry L. Nelson Sr., 74 of Nashport, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2022, with his loving wife and sister by his side while at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House.

Terry was born in Zanesville on January 12, 1948. He is the son of the late Gerald E. and Flora Belle (Talbert) Nelson. Terry worked as a welder in the coal mines for many years. He was a Vietnam Veteran, and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Terry was a lifetime member of George Selsam VFW Post #1058.

Terry is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 22 years, Margaret “Maggie” (Guy) Nelson; his two daughters and several grandkids; his sisters, Patty Dilley of South Zanesville, and Barbara Anders of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Terry is preceded in death by his son, Terry L. Nelson Jr.

In keeping with Terry’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place, and no services will be held at this time. The Farus Funeral Home is caring for the Nelson family.
