Susan Starcher

April 30, 1950 — September 26, 2014

Adamsville Susan V. Starcher passed away suddenly on Friday, September, 26th, she was 47 years old. She was born April 30th, 1967 in Zanesville, Ohio to Ronald and Vicky Rath. Susan always thought of others before herself. She never turned away a child in need, and so became an honorary mother to many. She cherished her own family, and loved taking care of her husband, Thomas and was the quintessential soccer, softball, and volleyball mom. She always supported her children; she was their biggest fan. One of her favorite things to do was watch her children at Dance Express. She loved to play backyard volleyball with her family, but she also participated as a cheerleading coach for the mini muskies and EMMS. She was also a book keeper for volleyball. She worked for the Hampton Inn as Head of Housekeeping. She is preceded in death by her father, Ronald Rath, her mother-in-law, Joann Starcher, her step-father, Jearl Holt, and a step-grandson, Jayce. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Thomas Starcher, and their children, Hope Starcher, Hayley & Cy Hummel, Holly Starcher (Bruce Riggs), and her cherished dog, Heidi Kay Starcher. She also leaves to mourn her step-daughter, Tammy & Jr Ryan, as well as her granddaughter, Lynnlee Connell, and step-grandchildren, Zyler, Blayden, and Brooklyn. She also leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Vicky Holt, step-mother, Dixie Baughman, father-in-law, Glen E. Starcher, and her brothers, Doug (Tammy) Rath, and Dustin (Jolinda)Holt, and her sister, MIssi (John) Nichols, as well as a host of other siblings, in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Calling hours for Susan will be held on Monday, September 29th from 3 to 5PM and 6 to 8PM at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord (formerly the Mock Miller Funeral Home, 63 W.
