Susan B. Knicely, 61, of Norwich passed away peacefully while in the presence of her loving family at the Genesis Morrison House following a courageous two year battle with cancer on Monday, February 16th, 2015.  She was born November 19th, 1953 in Zanesville to Clarence E. and Mary E. Mitchell.

Susan was a 1971 graduate of Tri Valley High School; she was employed at the Lumilite Candle Company for 32 years.  She was a 4-H advisor for the Country Cousins 4-H Club for 31 years.  Sue enjoyed living life on the farm, and appreciated the time she spent gardening.  She also adored cooking Sunday dinners for the family; she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  Each of them had a very special place in her heart.  Her most precious time was that spent in the company of her family, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Sue is preceded in death by her father, Clarence E. Mitchell, and her In-laws, Valley and Katharine Knicely.  She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Kenneth Knicely, her daughter, Jenny (David) Eck of Chandlersville, and her sons, Jeremy (Sara) Knicely of Norwich and Jared (Lacie) of Norwich.  She also leaves to mourn her brothers, Clarence (Beverly) Mitchell, Jr., Samuel (Andura) Mitchell, Ralph (Cindy) Mitchell, Jeff (Sue) Mitchell, and Daniel Mitchell.  She will be lovingly remembered by her cherished grandchildren; Dalton, Dallas, Cody, Allissa, Kyle, Libby, Lilly, Jackson, Brooke, Betsy, and Braxton.

Friends and family are welcomed to attend calling hours at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Thursday, February 19th from 2-4PM and 6-9PM.  Services will be held at the Bethel United Methodist Church on Friday, February 20th at 11:30AM.  Friends and family may call one hour earlier; burial will be held at the Bethel Cemetery following services.  Pastors Mark Thomas and Tadd Sponseller will be officiating.
