Steve Starkey Sr.

Steve Starkey Sr. 73, of Roseville, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2024 at Genesis Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Steve was born in Zanesville on September 1, 1950.  He is the son of the late Edward and Mildred (Menhorn) Starkey. Steve retired from PCC Airfoils. Steve enjoyed going to dirt track races, where he would watch two of his son’s race. He loved to fish, as well as tend to his yard and pond. However, Steve’s favorite way to pass the time was to spend it with his grandchildren.

Steve is survived by his children, Steve Starkey Jr., Misty M. (Brian) Starkey, and Chad E. (Brande) Starkey; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mary “Kathy” Starkey whom he married, August 15, 1970 and who passed away April 3, 2022; his son, Kevin Shawn Starkey; his daughter-in-law, Michelle Starkey; his siblings, Jerry Larry, Richard, Robert, and Fred.

Visitation will be 2 to 5 pm on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held at 5 pm. Pastor Steve Harrop will officiate the service.
