Shirley J. Khune

Shirley J. Khune, 71 of Blue Rock, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2021 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House.

Shirley was born on July 27, 1949 in Zanesville.  She is the daughter of the late Herman and Joann (McClellan) Knapp. She worked at Essex Wire for a short period of time, but spent most of her time as a homemaker. Shirley enjoyed spending time fishing, as well as traveling to Las Vegas, but most especially, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her husband Larry Khune whom she married on May 6, 1966; her two sons, Troy (Katelyn) Khune and Shawn Khune; her grandchildren, Addyson, Lacey, Riley, and Ava; and her two sisters, Pat (Steve) Harrop and Sue Riley.

In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her two brothers, Gary Knapp and William Knapp.

Visitations will be from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.  Pastor Jamie Harrop will officiate the service.  She will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
