Shirlee A. Merew

Shirlee A. Merew, of Philo, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2018 while under the care of Genesis Hospice at the Morrison House.  She was 71 years old.

Shirlee was born in Zanesville on August 18, 1947.  She is the daughter of Charles and Mable (Miller) Whitmire.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She is survived by her husband, Michael Merew, whom she married in 1966; her son, Matthew (Amiee) Merew; two granddaughters, Oliva and Samantha; her sister Connie (Brady) Hartman and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Shirlee is preceded in death by her sister Mary Jane Richardson.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 pm on Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday with Pastor Marc Caton officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
