Shelly Renee Ross-Fellers

Shelly Renee Ross-Fellers, born in Zanesville, Ohio on January 14, 1964, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Woods Edge Nursing Home in Cincinnati, Ohio after a period of declining health. Shelly was 58 years old.

She attended Maysville High School and Ohio University Zanesville, excelling in painting and sculpting, natural sciences and paleontology, foreign languages, and nursing. She loved spending time with her brothers and sisters, her two sons, creating art, and volunteering in the community. Through the years, her intellect and humor never faded, bringing laughs, levity, and warmth to her family, friends, and nurses.

Shelly is survived by her two sons with Douglas Fellers of South Carolina: Macaire Fellers of Columbus, Ohio and Zachary Fellers of Hanover, Maryland; and her parents, Teresa Golden-Arnold of Zanesville, Ohio and Roger D. Ross of Austin, Texas.

She is survived by nine siblings: her sister Kristina Reed-Zemba and brothers Brian Reed, Larry B. Reed of Zanesville, Ohio, Jay Arnold of Florida, brother Roger Ross Jr. and sisters Remi Ross-McDonnell and Rylee Ross of Austin, Texas, and sister Robyn Ross-Hurd and brother Ryan Ross of Colorado.

Shelly is also survived by extended family, including her uncle Jack Erwine, aunt Judy Wofter, and cousin Sally Ogg, of Zanesville, Ohio, as well as her uncle Jerald Ross and cousin Gregory Ross of Portland, Oregon, and cousin Stephen Ross of North Carolina.

The family asks that donations be made in Shelly's memory can be sent to the Zanesville Museum of Art, the Brain Injury Association of Ohio, and Eastside Community Ministry of Zanesville, Ohio.

Visitations will be at Farus Funeral Home at 383 Main Street, Duncan Falls, Ohio on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 4 to 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Saint Nicholas Catholic Church, 935 Main Street, Zanesville, with Fr. Martin J. Ralko as Celebrant.  She will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
