Sharon Hommel

Sharon M. Hommel, 73 formerly of Philo, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2018 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

Sharon was born in Lancaster on September 24, 1944.  She is the daughter of the late Jacob Roop and Dorothy Lescalleet.  She was a member of the Shelter House Assembly of God Church in Gaysport.

Sharon is survived by her son, Johnathan R. (Brooke) Hommel-Paynter of WV; her grandchildren Baylor Rae and Daegan Anthony Hommel-Paynter; her brothers, Robert Joe (Janice) Lescalleet and Randy L. (Zane) Lescalleet; her sisters, Ruth JoAnn Cox, Sue Ann (Carl) Hartman and Rebecca Harney; her special nieces and nephews and bonus grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her siblings Sandra, Andrew, Harold, Larry, Tom and Tim.

Visitations will be held 1 to 5 pm on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.  She will be laid to rest in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Chandlersville.
