Sally J. Atkinson

Sally Jo Atkinson, 76 of McConnelsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Newark.

Sally was born on August 5, 1948, in Zanesville. She is the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Sarah E. (Burkhart) Atkinson. Sally worked at various restaurants throughout her life.

Sally is survived by her son, Brian Atkinson; her sister, Therese Harrop; her two nieces, two nephews, as well as several great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Sally is preceded in death by her sister, Hermani Newton; her step-niece, Julie Harrop; as well as her great niece, Cheyenne Lee Russell.

In keeping with Sally’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place. The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is caring for the Atkinson family.
