Ruthmarie Keffer, 82 of Nashport, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Ruthmarie was born on June 9, 1939 in Ravenna, Ohio.  She is the daughter of the late Charles  and Josephine M. (Lewis) Calvin.

Ruthmarie is survived by her three children, Megan Keffer, Captain Brian (Lisa) Keffer, United States Coast Guard, and Erin (Ron) Cole; her grandchildren, Jason (Kristy) Keffer, Tara (Ben) Keffer Givens, and Jacob Keffer; her great-grandchildren, Rilee and Drake Givens; her brother, David (Susan) Calvin; and her honorary family members, Lloyd France, Dr. Laura Schumann, and Cindy Kirby.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Hugh Keffer; her son, Tim Keffer and her brother, Dana Calvin.

Ruthmarie enjoyed the study of astrology, and metaphysical and spiritual principles. She enjoyed camping with her husband, scouting, and spending time with her family.

The family asks that donations be made in Ruthmarie’s name to the Boy Scouts of America Campership Fund, or the Zanesville Animal Shelter Society, 1430 Newark Road, Zanesville, OH, 43701.

In keeping with Ruthmarie’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place, and a celebration of her wonderful life will take place at a later date. The Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is caring for the Keffer family.
