Ruthann Gatrell

Ruthann Gatrell 58 of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice of Guernsey County.

Ruthann was born in Fort Campbell, KY on April 30, 1966.  She is the daughter of Jerry R. Gatrell and Ione (Kyser) Knipe.  She was a loving caregiver to her father for the last several years, she loved gardening and taking care of her flowers; and most especially she was a loving mother and companion.

Ruthann is survived by her ‘significant other’ for more than 30 years, Nicholas Waller; her two children, Tara Ann Gatrell and Dylan Lee Waller; her two brothers, Mike (Lisa) Gatrell and Kevin Gatrell; as well as her extended family and many friends.

Ruthann is preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Jamie Gatrell; her aunt, Betty Hall and her cousin, Alex Keith.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 5 to 7 pm on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord, 63 West Main Street, New Concord.  A celebration of her life will be held at 7 pm.  Pastor Keith Taylor will officiate the service.
