Ruby J. Hindel

Ruby J. Hindel, 81 of Zanesville, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024 at Morrison House in Zanesville.

Ruby was born January 26, 1943, in Martins Ferry, Ohio to the late Forest and Orpha Carmelita Hilton. Ruby enjoyed reading nonfiction and true crime novels. She loved listening to music and dancing, and enjoyed cooking for her family.

She is survived by her children Vicki (John) Hunt, Chris Barnett, and Lonnie (Debbie) Barnett; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; her sister Josephine Potts; her former husband Larry Barnett; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Richard Hilton, Shirley Swinehart, and Anita Doudna; and her husband Mark Hindel.

Per Ruby’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place. The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is caring for the Hindel family.
