Rodney Lee Cunningham, 52 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Rodney was born in Zanesville on January 5, 1972, to Renee Cunningham of Zanesville and the late John Brown. Known for his strong work ethic, he dedicated himself to his craft, working at various potteries in the Roseville and Zanesville areas, most recently at Ohio Stoneware. Rodney cherished time spent on the Muskingum River aboard his pontoon boat, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. He had a passion for spontaneous trips and adventures across the state. Above all, he deeply loved his grandchildren and his loyal dog, Buster.
In addition to his mother, Rodney is survived by his girlfriend of 23 years, Mary Deavers; step-son, Kyle Deavers; his step-daughter, Destinee and Doug Dyer; grandchildren, Kayden Deavers, Karter Deavers and Summer Blagg; his brother, John Brown; and his sisters, Teresa Cunningham, Mandy Harney and Kelly Graham.
In addition to his father, Rodney is preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Cunningham who passed away January 7, 2018.
A gathering of friends will be held 2 to 4 pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, 383 Main Street, Duncan Falls, Ohio 43734.
