Robert Totten passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1st. He was born August 5th, 1926 in Mercer, PA, the son of Alton and Elma Totten. Bob graduated from Sharpsville, PA High School in the class of 1944. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, and served in Okinawa from 1945-1946. Bob worked at Muskingum College for a number of years. He retired from Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center as a boiler operator.
He was a member of the Malta Lodge #0118 Scottish Rite Masonry and York Rite Masonry and was a Knight of the York Cross of Honor. He was also a member of the New Concord Lions Club,he was a member of the American Legion in Belle Valley, and the New Concord Church of Christ. He enjoyed working with wood, and made several clocks and other crafts.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Anna L. Totten, whom he married June 21st, 1947. She passed away on July 2nd, 2014. He leaves to mourn his son, Robert E. (Sandra) Totten of Cambridge, his daughter, Carol Uribe, of Wyoming, MI, seven grandchildren including Scott Clodfelter, Shane Hensley, Josh Uribe, Eustacho Uribe, Ryan Uribe, Mary Goslin, and Kerry Totten, as well as seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. He also leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Fred Totten of Hollywood, FL; as well as host of other family and friends.
Visitations for Bob will be held on Friday, December 5th from 10-11am at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord, with services starting at 11am. Services will be officiated by Evangelist Dick Harris. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
