Robert "Shady" Stiles, 75, of Newberry, Fla., died Jan. 29th, 2015, while working for the Boyd and Son Farm. He was born June 12th, 1939, to Walter R. and Elsie Stiles in Bloomfield.
He was the former owner of Stiles Trucking of Cambridge; Mr. Stiles loved working for the oil fields as a truck pusher for J.L. Coats, Mid-Atlantic and A.G.L. Trucking. He was a diesel mechanic and truck driver his entire life. He enjoyed fishing, boating, NASCAR, and the Cleveland Browns. He was a member of the Eagles 386, the AMVets 422 and VFW 5625 of Chiefland, Fla.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 39 years, Beverli J. Stiles; two daughters, Tamra K. (Hoss) Kirkbride (Hoss) and Vicki L. Eltringham (Glenn); four sons, Michael Stiles (Jen), Joe Parry (Betty), Richard Parry (Bernice) and David Parry (Juanita); a brother, William Stiles (Sharon); a sister, Linda D. Aitken (Bill); 16 grandchildren, Michele Whaley (Kevin), Robert C. Paisley, Jamie Parry (Julie), Ashley and Richard Keller, Joshua, William and Benjamin Eltringham, Caroline, Zachariah, J.D., Joseph, Jobe and Basin Parry, Lukas and Kendall Stiles; 11 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Preston, Jensen, Jaylawi Jo, Alexis Marie, Ryan, Jacob, Kylie, Levi, Mariah and Richard. Robert also left behind a special friend, Larry Durben of North Salem, who was like a son to Robert.
Robert was a man who worked hard, and enjoyed his down time. He truly loved getting together with his friends. He appreciated the outdoors, spending his time in the wilderness or on the water when he could. He loved his family and friends, and cherished the time that he spent with them, no matter where he was.
A memorial service for Robert Ray Stiles, of Old Town, Florida, who passed away on January the 29th of this year, will be held at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Monday, June 15th. Friends and family are welcome to arrive at 10AM to spend time with his family, a brief service will be held by the Friends of the Eagles at 10:45am, and services shall start promptly at 11AM, followed by a burial at Bloomfield Cemetery.
