Robert M. Proudfit passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13th while in the care of the New Dawn Retirement Community in Dover, Ohio, he was 76 years old.  He was born in Cambridge, Ohio on June 16th, 1940 to Wilbur and Margaret (Morrow) Proudfit.  Robert had an intense love of reading, and enjoyed his trips to the library as well as going to the movies.  He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, and held a special fondness for John Deere tractors.  He enjoyed working part-time at the Cattle Auctions in both Zanesville and Coshocton, and retired from the Guernsey-Muskingum Electric Cooperative.

He is predeceased by his parents, David “Wilbur” and Margaret (Morrow) Proudfit, as well as his brother, Tom Proudfit.  He is survived by his sister, Sharon (Robert) Price, and three special nephews, including Tom (Kendra) Proudfit, Kent (Christy) Proudfit, and Curt Proudfit; as well as a host of other family members, friends, and former co-workers.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours for Robert at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Wednesday, August 17th from 4 to 7PM.  Services will follow on Thursday at 11AM, with burial taking place at the New Hope Cemetery in Adamsville.
