Robert E Mcconaha

Robert E. McConaha, 81, of Chandlersville passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House.

Bob was born on January 28, 1940, on the family farm in Chandlersville to the late Roy and Mary (Winters) McConaha.

Bob worked at the Ohio Ferro Alloy and then retired from Best Way Mechanics. He was a member of the American Legion, and served his country in the U.S. Army.

Surviving is his step-son Mark (Marti) Staley of Zanesville; His two step-daughters, Karen (Mark) Shook of Blue Rock, and Genia (Casey) Head of Chandlersville; His 7 step grandchildren, and his 13 step great grandchildren; His three sisters, Margaret Ruege of Duncan Falls, Sharon (Bill) Blake of Duncan Falls, and Edith (Steve) Lucas of Canal Winchester; and his special friend Katie Nesselroad, and her dog Lucy.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his Wife Linda McConaha, who passed away February 6, 2000; his brothers, George, Donald, Richard, and Charles; Bob’s sisters, Jean Joseph, Rita Nicodemus, Bernie Loomis, Mary Husch, and Joy Slaybaugh.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 11am in Duncan Falls Cemetery, with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. He will be laid to rest with full military honors provided by VFW Post 1058, and American Legion Post #29.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Genesis Hospice Morrison House, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio, 43701.
