Robert "Red" D. Holdren, 88, of Indiana Street, Zanesville, passed away at 12:15 pm Friday, December 21, 2012 at Adams Lane Care Center, Zanesville. Red was born September 16, 1925 the son of the late Clarence and Elvira (Kirkbride) Holdren. He was a car enthusiast and he enjoyed watching Nascar and other car racing. He worked for Essex Wire and he retired from the Ohio State Nursery where he worked as a grounds caretaker. He served his country in the US Army. Red is survived by his daughters Jackie Holdren (Mike) Smith of Zanesville and Dolly Yeauger of FL; step daughters Darlene Tigner of FL and JoAnn Dickinson of Duncan Falls; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and a special friend Sara Clapper. In addition to his parents, Red is preceded in death by his three brothers Tom, Blaine and 'Squirt' Holdren. In keeping with Red's wishes, his body will be cremated and no services will be observed. www.farusfh.com
