Robert Glen Czigans

Robert G. Czigans passed away on Saturday, June 10th while in the care of the Morrison House.  He was born in Bloomfield, Ohio on May 19, 1937 to Gilbert and Esther (Bowden) Czigans.  Robert dedicated himself to his beloved railroad, working for the Ohio Central Railroad as a machinist until 2001.  There was never a person he met that did not leave calling him a friend.  He cherished his family, and loved spending time with them.  Robert belonged to the Dresden Steam and Gas club, had an intense love for antique tractors, enjoyed participating in shooting sports, and belonged to the Coshocton Gun Club.

Robert is survived by his children, Robbie (Lorie) Czigans, Brenda (Don) Kontur, and Scott (Connie) Czigans.  He leaves 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory, as well as his brother, Gene Czigans, his sister, Wilma (Dick) Kelley, and several nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his parents, his wife, Thelma (Smith) Czigans, his brother, Donald Czigans, his sister, Juanita Morgan, and his sister, Dorothy Jean Czigans.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a memorial service for Robert on Sunday, July 9th at 2PM at the Age of Steam Roundhouse, located at 213 Smokey Lane Road SW, Sugar Creek, Ohio 44631.  Pastor Dick Marshall will officiate services, and burial will take place in the New Concord Cemetery at a later Date.  The family is in the care of Farus Funeral home of New Concord.
