Robert Nelson Brown, 84, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.

Bob was born on August 26, 1941, to Wilbur Brown and Violet (Anderson) Brown, who both preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Eleanor Wolf.

A 1959 graduate of Belle Valley High School in Guernsey County, Ohio, Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965. Following his military service, he began a career with Armco Steel (Cyclops), where he worked for 30 years before retiring in 1997.

Retirement allowed Bob to devote more time to the activities he enjoyed most. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and target shooting. His greatest joy, however, was spending time on the farm that had been his home since 1959—a place that held a lifetime of memories and brought him peace throughout the years.

Bob will be remembered for his quiet strength, steadfast work ethic, and deep appreciation for the simple pleasures of country life. He leaves behind family and friends who will cherish his memory and the many years they shared with him.

In accordance with his wishes, Bob was cremated. His ashes will be scattered on the farm he loved and called home for more than six decades.

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
