Rickey R. Stewart

Rickey R. Stewart, 66 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Rickey was born on July 2, 1958, in Zanesville. He is the son of the late Harold “Slim” Stewart and Jean Peyatt. Rickey worked for several years at Bloomer’s Candy Company in Zanesville. He enjoyed hanging out in his garage woodworking. He also liked to fish, hunt, and in his younger years go camping. Rickey cherished his four-legged friends, Mia and Bella.

Rickey is survived by his children, Carli (Chaz Harmer) Stewart, Chance (Abbigail) Stewart, and Daron Bash; his grandchildren, Braxton, Graysen, Kaylee, Dustin, and Chase; his great-grandchildren, Phoenix, Bash, Matthew, Morgan, Luke, and Lauren; his siblings, Harold “JR” (Darla) Stewart, Hobie (Linda) Stewart, Randy (Jennifer) Stewart, Chris (Val) Stewart, Tracy (Kendra) Stewart, Robert (Marsha) Cairo, and Leslie Williams; the mother of his children, Ruth Stewart; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Rickey is preceded in death by his son, Travis L. Stewart, who passed away on February 20, 2020.

Visitations for Rickey will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm following visitations. Reverend Darren Tolbert will officiate the service. Rickey will be laid to rest in Saint Ann’s Cemetery in Philo.
