Richard Sprankle

November 18, 1935 — November 27, 2017

Richard “Dick” Glenn Sprankle, 82 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2017 while under the care of Genesis Hospice at the Morrison House.

Dick was born in Baltimore, MD on November 18, 1935.  He is the son of the late Bernard and Wanda Sprankle.  His love working with wood and making things with his hands lead him to be the owner and operator of Classic Cabinet, but his real love was the guitar.  He was self-taught and played with bands locally and all over the country.  Dick was outspoken in his opinions but a man of great integrity.  He had a gentle side as shown by his care of many homeless animals throughout his life.

Dick is survived by his loving wife Donna Sprankle of Zanesville; his step-sons Chuck Watson and Rex Sprankle both of Zanesville and his sister Linda Wilson also of Zanesville; 5 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Dick is preceded in death by his son Gary Sprankle.

Private family services will be observed and he will be laid to rest in St. Paul Cemetery.
