Richard "Smiley" Mcconaha

Richard A. 'Smiley' McConaha, 73, of Duncan Falls, passed away at 6:30 pm Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Zanesville. Richard was born March 20, 1941 in Chandlersville, the son of the late Roy and Mary (Winters) McConaha. He was a retired truck driver working for Muskingum Iron and Metal in Zanesville and he was an avid outdoors man who loved to hunt and fish. Richard is survived by his son Brett (Bambi) McConaha of Duncan Falls; his daughter Amy (David) Kaminski of Eddyville, KY; his grandchildren Dakota, Marissa, Kassandra, Cole and Josie; his Brother Robert McConaha of Chandlersville and his sisters Sharon (Bill) Blake of Duncan Falls, Margaret (Jim) Ruege of Duncan Falls, Joy (Fred) Slaybaugh of Columbus and Edith (Steve) Lucas of Indianapolis, IN. In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his wife Margaret E. 'Peggy' McConaha who passed away May 11, 1997; his brothers Charles, George and Donald McConaha and four sisters Jean Joseph, Bernice Loomis, Mary Husch and Rita Nicodemus. Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 11 am Monday, September 22, 2014 with Rev. Karen Osborn officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
