Richard Q Martin

Richard Q. Martin, 84, known to many as “Whitey” passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 12, 2024.

He was born on September 24, 1939, in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Quentin H. Martin and Helen G. (MacLachlan) Martin-Pollatz.

Richard grew up in Philo, before moving to Englewood, Florida and then to Franklin, North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis (Tefft) Martin, his brother James A. Martin and his nephew James “Craig” Martin.

Private graveside services were held and he was laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery beside his parents. The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is honored to care for the Martin family.
