“Well done, thou good and faithful servant: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord!”
Earth felt its loss as Ronald Gilbert Miller, Sr., 90 of Nashport, ran into the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, July 17, 2025. Rev. Miller hoped that those who knew him could say of him, “He was a servant of God!” And, thus, he was. It was his prayer that all would come to experience the saving grace of Jesus.
Ron was born in Warren, PA, on July 2, 1935, on his father’s birthday. He is the son of the late Cecil M. and Rosalyn J. Miller. Ron was an Army Veteran who served his country in Germany. Rev. Miller is a retired pastor who preached for nearly 50 years at both the Church of the Nazarene and the United Methodist Church. Upon his death, Ron was a member of the Zanesville Northside Church of the Nazarene.
Rev. Miller is survived by his seven children, Connie (Dana) Dunmyer, Ronald (Vickie) Miller, Vickie Arn, Cheryl Myers, Russell (Angela) Miller, Bryon (Patricia) Miller, and Christopher (Janilee) Miller; his 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; his older brother, Cecil Miller; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom love him very much.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ramona J. “Jeannie” Miller, whom he lost just 10 days short of their 63rd anniversary. What a joy to know that they are reunited in glory! He is also preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Chuck Arn and Gary Myers; his grandson Zachary Reznak; two brothers, Lyle and Gerald; and three sisters, Florence, Mildred, and Sophia.
In keeping with Rev. Miller’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Zanesville Northside Church of the Nazarene, 739 Francis Street, Zanesville, with the Rev. Billy Huddleston, Dr. James A. Miller, and Pastor Matthew Kirkpatrick officiating. The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is caring for the Miller family.
