Regan Ann Valentine

Regan Ann Valentine, 71 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2022, while surrounded by her loving family at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House. Regan was born in Zanesville on January 11, 1950. She was the third child of the late Dannie H. and Erma Jean Pickinpaugh. On June 26, 1968, she married the love of her life, Arka “Lucky” Valentine. Together they shared 53 and a half years of marriage and had three loving children. She loved camping, playing the bass guitar, singing with her band Good-N-Country, singing karaoke, calling square dances, and writing many of her own songs. She was a member of the Ohio Country Western Music Association Hall of Fame, the Harmony Grange, Carlwick Grange, and Muskingum County Country Music Hall of Fame where she was the secretary for 29 years. Regan graduated from Philo High School in 1968. In 2012 she graduated from Zane State College with an Associate’s Degree in Business. She retired from the Lear Corporation after working there for 34 years. Regan is survived by her loving husband, Arka “Lucky” Valentine; her children, Annie (Craig Tignor) Valentine, Dannie (Debbie) Valentine, and Jeanie (Bryan) McDonald; her grandchildren, Adam (Christina Zavodsky) Coen, Rachel (Jeremey) Frontz, Arka Brian Valentine, Kaylie May (James Williams) Brown, Phillip (Samantha) Valentine, Derek Valentine, Danielle Valentine, Helena Valentine, Kyle (Jayme) McCandless, and Kolin McCandless; her fifteen great-grandchildren; her siblings, Pamela Davis, Chestina Davis, Charles (Debbie) Pickinpaugh, and Don Dale (Ronda) Pickinpaugh; and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Regan is preceded in death by her brother, Emmett Steve.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Regan’s name to the Genesis Hospice Morrison House, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio, 43701.

Visitations will be held 4 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday.  Bruce Archibald will officiate the service. Regan will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery in Zanesville.
