Raymond A. Hughes

Raymond A. Hughes, 59 of Cumberland, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2022 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Raymond was born in Mountain View, CA on November 15, 1962.  He is the son of Katherine (Howard) Hughes of Cumberland and the late James R. Hughes, who passed away March 22, 2017.  Raymond enjoyed working with all electronics especially computers.  He owned and operated his own computer repair shop and enjoyed talking with all his customers.  He was a faithful member of the Buffalo Presbyterian Church of Cumberland, where he served on the session and trustees for several years. Raymond proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Raymond is survived by his Mother, Katherine Hughes; his half-sister, Joy Hughes-Felix; and his half-brother, Wesley Hughes.

In addition to his father, Raymond is preceded in death by his siblings, Patricia Hughes, Richard Hughes and James Hughes Jr.

A graveside funeral will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Cumberland Cemetery where Raymond will be laid to rest.  Pastor Noah Barr will officiate the service. The Farus Funeral Home of Cumberland is caring for the Hughes family.
