Raleigh M. Stallard

Raleigh M. Stallard, 83 of Hopewell, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.

Raleigh was born in Chicago, IL on August 12, 1937.  He is the son of the late Arthur and Marie (Kitchen) Stallard.  He retired after 28 years as a truck driver for TNT Holland Express.  He continued working as an owner / operator until 2012.  He was an avid Buckeyes and pro wrestling fan.  He previously attended the Rock Church in Zanesville and he served his country in the US Air Force.

Raleigh is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosemary (Irving) Stallard, whom he married February 8, 1958; his children, Richard (Sheila) Stallard, Robert (Lori) Stallard, Rachelle (Rick) DeMent, Rory (Amy) Stallard, Raymond Stallard and Russell Stallard; his grandchildren, Faith, Richard, Rachel, Chelsea, Colton, Robert, Andrew, Maria, Dana, Tina, Sara, Aiden, Olivia, RJ, Abby and William; his great grandchildren, Alexi, Tristan, Isaac, Jacob, Bree, Bailey, Olivia and Gabby; his great-great grandson, Phoenix; and his sister, Naomi Fannin and he was much loved by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Raleigh is preceded in death by his son, Randall Stallard; a grandson, Tyler Stallard; his brothers, Calvin Stallard; a sisters, Wilma McGuire, Shirley Clark, and Elsie Stallard.

Private services will be held and Raleigh will be laid to rest in Williams Cemetery will full military honors provided by George Selsam VFW Post #1058 and the American Legion Post #29.  The Farus Funeral Home is caring for the Stallard family.
