R. Terry Moorehead

Ralph Terry Moorehead, 64 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at his home on December 27, 2022, under the care of his family and Shriver’s Hospice.

Terry was born in Zanesville on July 27, 1958.  He is the son of Faith (Speelman) Moorehead and the late James W. Moorehead who passed away December 30, 2021.  Terry worked at the Roseville Sewage Treatment Plant for many years, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #29 and he served his country in the US Army.

In addition to his mother, Terry is survived by his wife and the love of his life Debra (Bruce) Moorehead, whom he married December 21, 1979; he is survived by his four children, Alicia (Ryan) Emerick, Terry Moorehead, Ashley Martin, and Amber (Ryan) Dillinger; he always called his girls his punkins;his nine grandchildren, Cole, Kyler and Kaitlin Emerick, Terry Walter Moorehead Jr. and Audrionna Moorehead, Preston Starr, Olivia and Parker McGraw, and Natalie Dillinger; his two great grandsons, Hudson Starr and Jaxon Emerick; and one great granddaughter due in February, Ellie Palone; his siblings, Ricky (Margaret) Moorehead, Joanna (Rick) Lowery, and Faith (Steve) Stover; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews; his life long friend Keith Pinkerton.

In addition to his father, Terry is preceded in death by his two brothers, Mark James Moorehead and Kevin Lee Moorehead.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be held at 1 pm on January 7th, 2023 at the First Church of God, 1930 Newark Road, Zanesville, Ohio, 43701.  The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is caring for the Moorehead family.
