Patrick Craig

Patrick Lee Craig, 67 of Cumberland, passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Pat was born in Bedford, Indiana on November 14, 1949.  He was the son of Norma J. (Patton) Corbin of Indiana and the late Emil Craig.  He was the owner of Howell-Craig Insurance in Cumberland.  He was a member of the Buffalo Presbyterian Church of Cumberland; a member of Ancon Masonic Lodge in Panama; the Scottish Rite in Panama; the Abou Saad Shrine, Panama; the Cambridge Lions Club; the American Legion #84 of Cambridge, and the The Disabled Military Veterans. He served his country in the US Army.  He retired in 1989 from the Army as a Master Sgt. with the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit and he is a member of the National Explosive Ordnance Disposal Association.

Pat is survived by his wife of 46 years, Darla J. Craig, whom he married May 2, 1970; his children Travis Craig (Lauren Garland) of Bristol, England and Melinda (Michael) Smith of New Concord; a son-in-law David Neal of Zanesville; his grandchildren Brittany, Darren, Claire, Clayton, Summer and Craig and his brother Kevin (Polly) Craig of IN. a sister-in-law Debbie Craig and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Patrick is preceded in death by his daughter Megan Craig Neal who passed away in 2013; his step-father Kenneth Corbin and his brother Jerry Craig.

Masonic Services will be held at 8 pm on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Funeral Home.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours for Pat from 4 to 8 pm Monday, March 6, 2017 and from 11 to 1 pm Tuesday, at the Farus Funeral Home of Cumberland, 343 W. Main Street, Cumberland.  Funeral Services will be held 1 pm at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 with Pastor Jim Gibson officiating.  He will be laid to rest in Cumberland Cemetery with full Military Honors Provided by the Cambridge Post VFW Post #2901.
