Patricia Dinan

Patricia L. Dinan passed away peacefully on May 30th in Beaverton, Oregon, with her daughter by her side.  She was born in Cambridge, Ohio on March 19th, 1939 to James Elmer and Wilma (Cree) King and was a 1957 graduate of New Concord High School.  Patricia was a devoted wife to John L. (Jack) Dinan who preceded her in death in 2000.

Pat was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet.  She retired from the East Muskingum School District after working for 25 years at Perry Elementary as a Library Aide.  One of her greatest joys in life was working with children. She never forgot a student throughout the years. She enjoyed going shopping, traveling to Amish country with friends, as well as being an amazing cook and baker for the family.  She loved to entertain family and friends at her home and keeping in touch with her childhood friends from Rix Mills.  Traveling to Raleigh, North Carolina and later, Portland, Oregon to see her daughter also brought a smile to her face.  She especially doted on her grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as “Gigi”.  She was her children's biggest fan, and never missed a game or competition.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, her sister Iva Graham, and her brother, Charles “Chuck” King.  She is survived by her son, Drew (Anissa Judd) Dinan, and her daughter, Dawn (Jeff) Sharpe, as well as her grandchildren Annie Sharpe, Sergey Sharpe and Ben Judd.  She will be sadly missed by a brother-in-law and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and their children.

Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours on Thursday, June 4th from 3 to 8 pm at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord.  Services will be held on Friday at the New Concord Church of Christ, Maple Lane, New Concord, OH with visitation hours from 10 to 11 am and service at 11 am with Evangelist Dick Harris officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Paul Cemetery, located in Perry Township.
