Oliver Anderson "Andy" Nash Sr.

Oliver Anderson “Andy” Nash Sr., 75 of Zanesville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Genesis Hospital.

Andy was born on September 14, 1948 in New York City. He was the son of Stephen and Martha (Anderson) Nash.

Andy grew up in Swickley, PA. He enjoyed playing the drums, golf, bird watching, tending to his flowers, and was a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Andy graduated from Cleveland State University with a Masters Degree in Speech and Audiology. He worked in several nursing homes throughout this area and at Genesis Homecare. He also served in the Army.

Everyone knew Andy for his “puns”. He made friends wherever he went and will be missed by many.

Andy is survived by his loving wife of twenty-six years, Donna, whom he married on August 10, 1997; three daughters, Candi Nash of Astoria, Melissa Nash of Burlington, CO, and Sarah Wood of Zanesville; one son, Oliver (Amy) Nash Jr. of Cambridge; his grandchildren, Brittney, Mike, Sarah, Tiler, Karlie, Faith, Hannah and JJ; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and siblings, Timmy Podnar and Jane Kirst.

In addition to his parents, Andy is preceded in death by his daughter, Emily Nash; his brother, Stephen Nash, and granddaughter, Rachael Wood.

Per Andy’s request, no calling hours or services will be held. A caring cremation has taken place.
