Norma Sue Gohring

N. Sue Gohring, 77, of Blue Rock, passed away on January 2, 2022 at Genesis Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Sue was born on July 16, 1944 in Zanesville.  She is the daughter of the late Alfred and Luella (Nickelson) Stires.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Sue is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Gohring, whom she married, January 8, 1958, her two sons, John Jr. (Kelly) Gohring and Greg (Sarah) Gohring; her grandchildren, Justin, Johnny, Tracey, Jeremy; her two great grandchildren, Ethan and Ryan.

In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her son Rob Gohring; her brother, Alfred “Bud” Jr. and her four sisters, Lois “Katie” Pitts, Sylvia “Babe” Peirce, Phyllis Jewell and Barbara Lane. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Sue’s name to the Gohring Fund to help with expenses c/o CNB, PO Box 423, Duncan Falls, Ohio 43734.

Visitations will be 11 to 1 pm on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.  She will be laid to rest beside her son in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
