Norma "Clell" Davis, 86, of Zanesville, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 6:25 am in Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center. Norma was born March 12, 1927 in her home in Duncan Falls to the late Raymond and Muriel DeLaGrange Severance. She graduated from Philo High School in 1945. Clell worked for a factory during WW II in South Zanesville inspecting the inside of auxiliary fuel tanks for airplanes. Clell graduated from Bliss Business College in Columbus and returned to Zanesville to work at Mosaic Tile Company. After starting a family and raising two daughters she returned to work for the U.S. Postal Service in Duncan Falls and the post office on McIntire Avenue, where she retired from. Clell is a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Philo and a 50 year member of Olive Branch Chapter OES 251. Clell is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Frederick (Fred) Davis of the home. Daughters are Shellie (Mike) Haughn of Grove City and Sherrie (Tom Remkus) Dailey of Augusta, GA. Four Grandchildren Michael C. Dailey, Megan L. (Spencer) Vinco, Mollie E. (Josh) Bryant, and Meredith L. Dailey. Her sister is Vivian K. Watson of Yucaipa, Calif. Several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Clell is preceded in death by her granddaughter Joni Lynn Dailey and a brother James (Dutch) Servance. Friends may call at the Farus Funeral home in Duncan Falls 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Tuesday (February 25, 2014) where the funeral will be on Wednesday at 1 pm with the Rev Terry Priest officiating and Clell will be laid to rest in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
