Norbert "Tim" Shegog

Norbert “Tim” Brooks Shegog, 66, of New Concord, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge.

Tim was born in Zanesville on March 5, 1954.  He is the son of the late George William and Tokiko (Masuda) Shegog.  He was a furniture salesman and the owner of Co-Op Furniture in New Concord, he was also a lifetime area cattle farmer. Tim loved spending time outdoors on his farm taking care of his cattle.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving grandfather, and he never missed one of the grandchildren’s sporting events. He always enjoyed listening to the band Sons of Maverick, and he always left a smile on people’s faces with his unique sense of humor.

Tim is survived by his wife Connie Kay (Moore) Shegog, whom he married July 15, 1994; his children, Travis James (Sarah) Shegog, Ryan Ray (Randa) Haynes; his grandchildren, Wesley James, Eleanor Mae, Theodore Brooks, and Bella Rae; his brother, George (Sharon) Shegog; his sister, Loni Hunt; his nephews, Levi and Eli Shegog, and Matt and Brady Hunt; sister-in-law, Pam Moore; nephew, Dylan Moore; Sister-in-law, Melissa Moore; nieces, Danielle, Kristen and Trisha; nephew, Chad; brother-in-law, Jody Moore; nephews, Jordan and Alax; several great nieces and nephews; and his dog, Doo.

In addition to his parents, Tim is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Donnie Moore.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making donations to the New Concord Fire Department (2 West Main Street, New Concord, 43762), Cassell Station Fire Department (4500 Peters Creek Road, Cambridge, 43725), or the American Cancer Society.

Visitations will be from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord where funeral services will be held immediately following the visitations at 8pm.  His good friend Mike McCauley will officiate the service.
