Nedra G. Johnson

Nedra Johnson, 79 of Gratiot, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, August 5, 2024, at the Altercare of Newark surrounded by her family.

Nedra was born on March 6, 1945, at home in Beavertown, Ohio. She is the daughter of the late Clarence and Edna Mae (Beaver) Cecil. Nedra worked as a head hostess at the Big Bear Bakery. She also worked as an assistant cook at the Zanesville Senior Center, as well as Bloomer’s Candy. Nedra loved tending to her garden, taking road trips, spending time with her family. She was also an outstanding angler and the best cookie baker.

Nedra is survived by her husband of twenty-eight years, Paul Johnson, whom she married on May 20, 1996; her daughter, Tammy (Greg) Jenkins; her step-son, Paul (Davia) Robert Jr.; her grandchildren, Amanda (Kurt) Torres, Nicole (Anthony) Tittle, Danny (Kelsey) Tittle III; her step-grandson, Ethan; her eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Kim Cecil; her niece and nephew, Heather (Jim) and Cody; her special friend, Loretta (Ed) Hall; as well as her best fur buddy, Max.

In addition to her parents, Nedra is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Trinity Cheyenne Smith, who passed away on December 10, 2001; her step-grandson, Joseph Robert, who passed away on September 18, 1973; her brother and sister-in-law, John (Glenna) T. Cecil.

Visitations for Nedra will be held from 4 to 6 pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. A graveside will be announced at a later date.
