Nancy Jo-Ann "Jodie" (Doerr) Kopchak

Nancy Jo-Ann “Jodie” (Doerr) Kopchak, 60 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Mt. Carmel East in Columbus.

Jodie was born on June 28, 1963, in West Portsmouth, Ohio. She is the daughter of the late Harold W. and Louise (Jeanguenat) Doerr.

Jodie married Bryan Kopchak on July 30, 1988. Jodie graduated from Ohio State University with an Animal Science Degree, focusing in genetics. She was a jack of all trades and worked as a respiratory therapist, a school teacher, and a program technician for Farm Service Agency. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Zanesville. She was a 4H advisor, and president of the Dairy Promoters. She especially enjoyed caring for her grandchildren.

Jodie is survived by her loving husband, Bryan Kopchak; her children Tyler (Whitney) Kopchak, and Ashlee Kopchak; her five grandchildren Cooper, Carter, Garrett, Lincoln, and Colby; her god-daughter Christa (Tim Burns) Lawson; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Jodie is preceded in death by her aunts Jeanie Jeanguenat, and Evelyn Lawson.

A caring cremation will take place.  The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is caring for the Kopchak family. No visitations will be scheduled at this time, but a private celebration of life in West Portsmouth will take place at a later date.
