Misty Dawn Smith

Misty D. Smith, 49, passed away peacefully at her Zanesville home on February 13, 2021 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with stage 4 lung cancer.

Misty was born in Zanesville on March 6, 1971.  She is the daughter of Michael R. Smith Sr. of Zanesville and the late Jacqueline Kay (Holdren) Smith.  She worked at Creno’s East as a manager ‘Captain’ for over 19 years.  She enjoyed going to concerts, traveling and spending time at the ocean and she loved spending time with her grandsons.

Misty is survived by her two daughters, Tasha (Isaiah Pullie) Sharrer and Hali (Dustin Hindel) Smith; her grandsons, Zai’den, Zai’khi, Declan; her siblings, Michele Smith, Michael Smith Jr., Matt Smith; her soul sister, Toray Carrel and her very best friend Lisa Starkey; several nieces and nephews; and her dogs, Nick and Nancy.

In addition to her mother, Misty is preceded in death by her grandparents.

In keeping with her wishes a caring cremation will take place and the family will hold a celebration of her life at 2 to 4pm on Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.
