Mildred Milie Cox

Mildred “Milie” Cox passed away on March 16, 2021 at Cedar Hill Care Center in Zanesville.

Milie was born on May 3, 1926 to the late Joseph Knaup and Anna Millinger. She married Neil “Nub” Cox on January 9, 1948, and had two children; Bob Knaup of Indiana and Cindy Cox of Zanesville. Mildred worked at Essex wire for 29 years. She loved to go out for rides in their car with Nubie, and she loved to go out to eat and enjoyed dancing.

Milie is survived by her kids, Bob and Cindy; her grandchildren, Dan and Michele Knaup, LeAnne Knaup, and Shane Patterson; three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Millie was one of six children with only Ruth Lowther, and Joe Knaup surviving.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Neil, who passed away October 30, 2000; and her siblings, Fredie Knaup, Christine Mock, and Geraldine Tinkhum.

In keeping with Millie’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. The Farus Funeral Home is caring for the Cox family.
