Michael G. Knight

Michael G. Knight, 60 of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2021 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge.

Mike was born in Massillon, Ohio on January 22, 1961.  He is the son of Alvin and Betty (Moder) Knight.  He lived at the Applecreek Developmental Center for 34 years and for 20 years at the Cambridge Developmental Center.  He enjoyed going to the workshop as much as he could where he worked as an assembler.

Mike Knight was a good man, he made friends wherever he went. While living at Applecreek, he was a member of the Boy Scouts when he was very young. He was featured in a movie made about living conditions there “Up from the cement floor”.  After moving to Cambridge Devel-

opmental Center, he enjoyed many activities offered to him there. The best Chrismas parties he enjoyed with family and friends. Michael will be missed by many.

Mike is survived by his sisters, Carole Spriggs, Barbara (Bobby) Scalf; his nieces and nephews, Jessica Spriggs, Melissa Spriggs, Bethany Bonnell, Timothy Duff and Misty Coffelt; his great nieces and nephews, William, Ivan, Olivya, Lexi, Ellie, Owen, Preston and Annalise.

A memorial service will take place at a later date and Mike will be buried with his mother at Stanwood Cemetery.
