Melvin J. Fetty Jr.

Melvin J. Fetty Jr., 70 of Blue Rock, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House.

Melvin was born on September 5, 1953, in Delaware, Ohio. He is the son of the late Melvin J. and Rosa V. (Mays) Fetty Sr.

Melvin served his country in the United States Army, and after serving became a member of the American Legion Post #29. He worked in sanitation in the Columbus area for many years.

Melvin is survived by his many nieces and nephews, including, David (Tanya) King, Eagle Junior King, Patricia Allen, Mary Allen, Danica Lyons, Candee Fetty, Noah Fetty; great nephew, Zachary King; as well as his siblings, Netta Clagg, Nancy (Elmer) Armstrong, and Dolford Fetty; sister-in-law, Lorri Haddix.

In addition to his parents, Melvin is preceded in death by his siblings, John R. Fetty, Caldwell Mays, Leonard Fetty, Nila Beeler, Virginia Allen, and twin infant brothers Melvin and Elvin Fetty.

Melvin will be laid to rest in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
