Melba C. Ferguson
July 26, 1926 — February 9, 2016
Melba C. Ferguson of Philo, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 9th at the Morrison House in Zanesville. She was 89 years old.
Melba was born in Zanesville on July 26, 1926, the daughter of Wilmer and Cecil Clapper. She was a devoted wife and mother raising her three children and she was Methodist by faith.
Melba is survived by her three children Gary (Diana) Ferguson, Linda (Gary) Kirkbride and Rodney (Robin) Ferguson; her Five grandchildren William, Stacy, Jeremy, Zachary and Mikhayla; her great grandchildren Ethan, Emma, Theoren, Liam, Alexa and Joel, as well as her sister-in-law Mildred Clapper.
Melba is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas W. Ferguson who passed away in 1996 and her brother Wilmer ‘Myron’ Clapper.
Calling hours for Melba will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 4 to 8 pm, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held 11 am, Saturday with
Phil Walker officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
