Matthew A. Mckown

Matthew A. McKown, 38 of Zanesville, passed away 2:25 am Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Genesis, Good Samaritan Medical Center after a short battle with cancer. Matt was born February 16, 1975 in Marietta, OH the son of Patrick C. McKown of Opp, AL and Jean McKown of Zanesville. He loved working for the Kessler Sign Company for the last 12 years. Matt is survived by his mother, Jean McKown, his father Patrick McKown; his girlfriend and the Love of his life Laura Paul-Carrel; his sons Sebastian McKown of Gahanna and Jadin E. Frank of Zanesville; his sister Marie Schlueb of Nashport; his brother Charles P. McKown; his maternal grandmother Dorothy I. McInturf and his paternal grandmother Elizabeth McKown. Matthew is preceded in death by his uncle Larry McInturf. Visitations will be 5 to 7 pm Thursday, Sept 12th and 10 to 11 am Friday Sept. 13th at the Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 11 am Friday with Elder Nehemiah Gaiters officiating.
