Mary Louise Watson

Mary Louise Watson, 79, of Norwich passed away on January 9th, 2015 at the Genesis Morrison House while in the loving presence of her family. She was born June 28th, 1935 at home in Muskingum County. She was a homemaker and mother of five children. She enjoyed canning, playing Bingo and cards. She always looked forward to spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her Parents Evvert and Dorothy (Jordan) Powelson; two brothers, Robert and Wayne Powelson, two sisters, Helen Prouty, and a baby sister who died at birth and the father of her children, Russell Dean Watson.
She is survived by her children including, William Watson (Dee Prince) of Zanesville, Robert Watson of Norwich, Debra Romine of Norwich, Leland Watson (Becky Craddock) of Nashport, Cynthia (PJ) Echelberry of Zanesville; as well as 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one brother, James Powelson, sisters, Sue (Tom) Daugherty, and Kay (Danny) Garber. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be rembered lovingly by her special friend, Lillie Belle Lapp.
Friends and family may attend calling hours at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Tuesday, January 13th from the hours of 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. Services will be held on Wednesday, the 14th at 11am, and will be officiated by Pastor Keith Taylor. Friends are welcome to arrive one hour prior to service. Burial will be held at the Norwich Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Adamsville Volunteer Fire Department in honor of Mary. The family would like to thank the staff of the Morrison house for the care and support they and their mother received during her stay at their facility.
