Mary Sue Scott

Mary Sue Scott, 73 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at her home on December 15, 2021, with her loving husband by her side, and while under the care of Genesis Hospice. Mary was born in Chillicothe on January 7, 1948. She is the daughter of the late Maxie and Sylvia (Little) Scott. Mary loved gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved to decorate her home, and was able to make any space beautiful. Mary loved to sit on her front porch, and could always be found on her glider next to her husband, Nathan. Mary is survived by her husband, Nathan E. Scott; her children, Michael Kent, Kelly (Scott) Schumate, and Peggy Freeman; her step-children, Karen (Mike) Griffin, Judith Scott, Christina McCabe, and Nathan (Danielle) Scott; her many grandchildren and step-grandchildren; her several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Randy (Chris) Scott, Anna Marjorie Ashbrook, and Wanda True; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Harold True. Visitations will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 11am to 1pm at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held immediately following visitations at 1pm. Pastor Tim Patton will officiate the service. She will be laid to rest in Ark Springs Cemetery. www.farusfh.com
