Mary Ann Morrow

Mary Ann Morrow, 92 of New Concord, peacefully went home to be with her Heavenly Lord on the morning of Monday, July 14, 2025, at her son’s residence.

Mary Ann was born on July 25, 1932, in Bloomfield. She is the daughter of the late Alfred and Mildred (Davis) Shesky and her step-father, Donald Barr. Mary Ann worked as a book keeper for Cameron Drilling Co., as well as at the Thompkins Child & Adolescent Center. She was a member and secretary-treasurer for several years of the Muskingum County National Farmer’s Organization.

Deeply committed to her faith, Mary Ann was an 81 year member of the Bloomfield United Presbyterian Church. In her free time, Mary Ann enjoyed square-dancing, playing cards and bingo with her friends, watching westerns, crocheting, traveling, but most importantly, spending time with her family. She was an incredibly dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother who always attended her family’s events.

Mary Ann is survived by her son, Roger (Linda) Morrow; her daughter-in-law, Mary Morrow; her eight grandchildren; her 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Donna Pyle, Lewis Barr, and Vickie Dillon; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Mary Ann is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ellis Morrow, whom she married December 9, 1950 and who passed away on May 19, 1998; her sons, William Morrow and John Morrow; her brothers, Gary Barr and Robert Shesky; one granddaughter; one great grandson; as well as her longtime companion Kenneth Stewart.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in Mary Ann’s honor to the Bloomfield United Presbyterian Church, which can by done by mailing a check to, 1800 Bloomfield Road, New Concord, Ohio 43762 or to Genesis Hospice, Morrison House, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.

Visitations for Mary Ann will be from 11 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Bloomfield United Presbyterian Church, 5650 Cambridge Road, New Concord, Ohio 43762. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM at the church following visitations. Pastor Tim Pollock will officiate the service. Mary will be laid to rest beside her husband at Bloomfield Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
