Mary Jane Mitchell

Mary Jane Mitchell, 71, Blue Rock, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Beckett House in New Concord.

Mary Jane was born August 27, 1946 in Chandlersville to the late Dalton and Bernice (Downing) Wilkins. Mary Jane was a book keeper for the Mitchell Dozer Service and other local businesses. She was a member of the Ark Spring Baptist Church, a member and treasurer of the Ohio Country Western Music Association, a 30 year 4-H advisor, a member of the Business Professional Women Association, and she loved to sing at Highway 40 Karaoke.

Mary Jane is survived by her daughters, Robin (Rodney) Ferguson of Philo, Billie Jo (Rusty) Kuhn of Blue Rock, and Carla (Keith) Daw of Blue Rock, and an adopted daughter Geneve Powell; her grandchildren, Sadie (Mathew) Mahon, Shanae (Jeremy Shubert) Daw, Kade Daw, Zachary (Victoria Dollison) Ferguson, Mikhayla Ferguson, Mitchell (Megan) Kuhn and Matthew (Abby Adams) Kuhn, Trenda (Chad) Papageorge; her great grandchildren, Amelia Rose Mahon, McCoy Kuhn, Jocelyn and Jayden Papageorge; her sister Betty (Gary) Vineyard of Blue Rock and her brothers David Wilkins of Chandlersville and Charles (Roxie) Wilkins of Blue Rock.

In addition to her parents, Mary Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Mitchell who passed away on April 16, 2013 and her brother Dalton Ray Wilkins passing in 1948.

Friends may call at the Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm where the funeral will be 11 am Wednesday.  She will be laid to rest in the Ark Spring Cemetery beside her husband.
