Martha K. Bickford

Martha K. Bickford, 69 of Cannelville, peacefully went to Heaven to be with her husband, Charles, on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, while at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Martha was born on August 2, 1955, in Muskingum County. She is the daughter of the late George (Orpha) Hill and Ila (Red) Brown. Martha worked in the cafeteria at Roseville Elementary, as well as a home health aide. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who lovingly cared for her family and home. She made sure everyone was supported, nurtured, and deeply loved. Her absence leaves a missing piece in the lives of those she leaves behind, and she will be dearly missed.

Martha is survived by her children, Stacie (Scott) Glaub, Justin (Michele) Bickford, and Charles A. Bickford; her grandchildren, Alexa Glaub, Hallie (Logan) Watts, Hayden (Chloe) Glaub, Ian Glaub, Brianna Mortimer, Andrew Glaub, Haden Mortimer, Adalyn Glaub, Brenden Bickford, Jason Beem, Jesica Hummel, Destiny Sharrer, and Camren Hohnwald; her great-grandchildren, Kasien, Novah, Nylah, Mylah, Coen, Alivia, Remington, Xavier, Branson, and Arabella; her siblings, Pam Taylor, Judy (Joe) McCabe, Michael (Karen) Hill, Jeffrey Hill, Kevin (Pam) Hill, Paul (Shannon) Hill, Stacy (Onie) Hill; her siblings-in-law, Wanda (John) Beisser, Rick (Cindy) Bickford, Roger (Dorothy) Bickford, Bob Brewer, and Kenneth Boyd; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles W. Bickford, whom she married on September 27, 1974, and who passed away on February 3, 2025; her maternal grandparents, Andrew and Martha Erwin; her siblings, Tina Boyd, Richard Erwin, Marty Hill, and Terri Ann Hixon; her siblings-in-law, Betty (Fred) VanFossen, Virginia (Fred) Dennis, Jean Brewer, Raymond (Marge) Bickford, Richard Taylor.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the hospice care team, nurse aides, and Pastor Don Harris, as well as Martha’s sister, Pam, for their compassionate support and dedicated care.

Visitations for Martha will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Monday, July 28, 2025, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Visitations will also be held from 12 PM to 1 PM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the funeral home. A funeral service will follow visitations at 1 PM. Pastor Don Harris will officiate the service. Martha will be reunited with Charlie at Stovertown Lutheran Church Cemetery.
